SAN LEONARDO VIGNETI DELLE DOLOMITI IGT 2016 MAGNUM - TENUTA SAN LEONARDO

A symbolic wine of the estate, it has its roots in its thousand-year history. A classic Bordeaux cut of aristocratic elegance and extraordinary longevity. Grape varieties: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carmenère, 10% Merlot Vinification Spontaneous fermentation in small concrete tanks for approximately 15/18 days with various daily pumping overs and délestages. Aging: 24 months in first, second and third passage French oak barriques. Aging resistance: 30 years and more. Aromas of mint, spices, pepper, just a little green in the edges; in the mouth it is elegant and very fresh, sober, compact, airy and long in the finish with a subtle acid vein in relief - less expansive and communicative than the 2007 but distinguished by a more reserved character which, compared to the tastings dating back to its release on the market, it has not lost an inch in terms of evolution and definition with room for growth still possible More than a thousand years ago it was a monastery, for over three centuries it has been the residence of the Gonzaga Warrior Marquises who are passionate guardians of it.
